  • Education: Ph.D. in Mass Communication or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institute or university.
  • Experience (Option A): 10 years' teaching or research experience from an HEC-recognized postgraduate institute/university, OR professional experience in the field at a national or international organization.
  • Experience (Option B): 5 years' post-Ph.D. teaching or research experience from an HEC-recognized postgraduate institute/university, OR professional experience at a national or international organization.
  • Research Publications: A minimum of 10 research publications in HEC-recognized journals, of which at least 4 must be within the last 5 years.

Important Instructions & How to Apply

  1. Download the Application Form from the University's official website: www.uo.edu.pk.
  2. Submit complete applications along with the original bank draft/deposit slip by 24-04-2026.
  3. Read all instructions and terms & conditions on the University website carefully before filling out the form.
  4. Government/Semi-Government employees must route applications through the proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their authority.
  5. Submit separate applications in separate envelopes for each post applied for. Clearly write the post name and applicable quota (Open Merit or Reserved) on the top-right of each envelope.
  6. If a screening test is held, it will be mandatory for all eligible candidates regardless of quota.
  7. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
  8. Applications must be received at the Registrar Office, University of Okara on or before the closing date in working hours.
  9. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in Test/Interview.
  10. Age relaxation is admissible as per Government policy.
  11. All applicable quotas will be observed as per Government rules.
  12. The University reserves the right to withdraw any post, reject applications, or change the number of positions without assigning any reason.
