I met a traveller from an antique land

میں ایک قدیم زمین کے مسافر سے ملا

Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone

جس نے کہا: پتھر کی دو کشادہ اور تنے والی ٹانگیں۔

Stand in the desert.... Near them, on the sand,

صحرا میں کھڑے ہو جاؤ، ان کے قریب، ریت پر،

Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,

آدھا ڈوبا، بکھرا ہوا چہرہ ہے، جس کی بھونڈی،

And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,

اور جھریوں والے ہونٹ، اور ٹھنڈے حکم کی ہنسی،

Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

بتاؤ کہ اس کے مجسمہ ساز اچھی طرح سے وہ جذبے پڑھتے ہیں۔

Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,

جو ابھی تک زندہ ہیں، ان بے جان چیزوں پر مہر ثبت ہیں،

The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:

وہ ہاتھ جس نے ان کا مذاق اڑایا، اور وہ دل جس نے کھلایا:

And on the pedestal these words appear:

اور پیڈسٹل پر یہ الفاظ نمودار ہوتے ہیں:

'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:

'میرا نام اوزیمینڈیاس ہے، بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ:

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'

میرے کاموں کو دیکھو، اے غالب اور مایوس!'

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

اس کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں بچا۔ راؤنڈ کشی

Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare

اس زبردست ملبے کا، بے حد اور ننگا

The lone and level sands stretch far away.

تنہا اور سطحی ریت دور تک پھیلی ہوئی ہے۔
